Frequently asked questions
Do you plow driveways or shovel them?
For residential driveways in Louisville, we use snow blowers and shovels — not plow trucks. Blowers and shovels move snow off the drive completely (instead of leaving a berm of ice at the base of the drive) and they don't damage pavers, edging, or landscape beds like a plow blade can. For most East End homes, this is the right approach.
When do you come out — before, during, or after the storm?
For most Louisville snowfalls (which are typically 1–4 inches and end within a day), we come out once the snow has finished falling. For bigger events with heavy overnight accumulation, we may make two passes — one to get you out in the morning, one after it fully stops. We'll coordinate with you when a bigger storm is forecast.
Do you salt or de-ice as well?
We can apply ice-melt on walkways and steps as part of a visit — helpful for the parts of the property where slip risk matters most. We generally don't salt full driveways, but if there's an ice event on top of snow we can talk through options.
How does pricing work for snow removal?
For most residential clients, it's a per-visit price based on driveway and walkway square footage. We estimate up front so you know the number before the season starts. There are no hidden fees for a 'heavy' snow — the price is what we agreed.
