For over ten years, Peek Lawn Care has designed, installed, and refreshed residential landscapes across the Louisville East End — from small front-bed refreshes to full front-yard redesigns and back-yard makeovers.

What we design and install

• Landscape bed design — new bed layout, shaping, and edge lines that respect the house's architecture instead of fighting it.
• Plantings — foundation shrubs, layered perennials, ornamental trees, and screening — chosen for the light and soil on your specific property.
• Mulch installation and refresh — hardwood, dyed, or pine, installed at the right depth and cleaned up right.
• Edging — metal edging or trenched natural edges, depending on the look you want and the maintenance you're willing to do long-term.
• Light hardscape — stepping stones, small paver areas, and simple retaining features when a bed needs it.
• Bed refresh — for landscapes that have gone tired: pull the overgrowth, edge, top up the mulch, replant the gaps, and bring the whole thing back.

We are not a boutique design studio, and we don't pretend to be. What we do well is come look at your yard, listen to what you want it to feel like, put together a plan you actually understand, and then install it correctly with our own crew.

How the design conversation works

1. Walk the property. We come look at the yard — what's there, what's overgrown, what you like, what you don't. There's no charge for this.

2. Talk through what you want. Curb appeal? Screening from a neighbor? A backyard that looks intentional when you're sitting on the patio? Low-maintenance because you don't want to keep pulling weeds? Every property has its own answer.

3. Rough plan and quote. For simple refreshes, this is often a sketch and a line-item quote. For bigger designs, it's a scaled bed layout with plant selections. Either way, you understand what you're buying before we start.

4. Install. Our crew does the digging, planting, edging, and mulching. We clean up before we leave.

5. Ongoing care (optional). Most clients keep us on for mowing, seasonal cleanup, and mulch refresh so the landscape stays looking the way it did the day we finished.

Plants that actually work in Louisville

We install what does well in Louisville's clay soil and zone 6b/7a climate — not what looks best in a plant catalog. That means proven performers: boxwoods, hollies, hydrangeas, coneflowers, hostas, ornamental grasses, Japanese maples, redbuds, dogwoods. We're happy to work with more unusual selections if a client wants them, but we'll tell you up front what's likely to thrive and what's going to struggle.
