Louisville Lawn Care FAQ

Real answers to the questions we hear most from Louisville homeowners about mowing, landscaping, tree work, storm cleanup, snow removal, and firewood.

What areas of Louisville do you serve?
We serve the Louisville East End and surrounding neighborhoods — St. Matthews, Windy Hills, Crescent Hill, Clifton, Cherokee Triangle, The Highlands, Indian Hills, Rolling Fields, Graymoor-Devondale, Anchorage, Prospect, Middletown, Douglass Hills, Lyndon, Hurstbourne, Jeffersontown, and the immediately adjacent Jefferson County neighborhoods. If you're near that area, get in touch — we'll tell you honestly whether we can serve you.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes. Peek Lawn Care is a registered Kentucky LLC, carries full business insurance, is A+ rated with the Better Business Bureau, holds an active USDOT carrier number (#3256082), and is a member of the Building Industry Association of Louisville (listed under Arborists).
How often should my Louisville lawn be mowed?
Most Louisville lawns need weekly mowing from mid-April through early October. During peak summer heat or drought, growth slows and bi-weekly is often enough. Fescue lawns push a second growth burst in September and October. We match the schedule to your actual grass, not a rigid calendar — and we don't charge for cuts you don't need.
Do you handle full landscape design or just maintenance?
Both. We do landscape bed design, plant selection, installation, mulch, edging, and light hardscape — plus ongoing maintenance for the landscapes we install. See our landscape design service page for more detail.
What kinds of tree work do you do?
Residential tree trimming, pruning, dead limb removal, and small-to-mid tree removal. We're members of the BIA of Louisville, listed under Arborists. We do not do large removals requiring crane work or work near live power lines — those go to specialty crews.
How fast can you respond after a storm?
For regular clients in our service area, usually the next business day. For anything blocking a driveway, on a structure, or with insurance-claim urgency, we prioritize — usually within 24–48 hours. Insurance-claim work is welcome.
Do you do snow removal for driveways?
Yes — residential driveway and walkway snow removal across the Louisville East End. Snow blower and shovel, not plow trucks (which is the right approach for most residential properties). Book your winter slot in October or November before the season fills up.
How does pricing work?
For weekly or bi-weekly mowing, it's a per-visit price based on property size — quoted after we walk the property. For landscape design, tree work, storm cleanup, and firewood, it's project-based with a free upfront estimate. Nothing gets charged until you've agreed to the number.
How do I get a free estimate?
Call {{ business.phone }} or use the contact form. We'll come look at the property, listen to what you need, and give you an honest estimate. There's no charge and no obligation.
Do you sell firewood?
Yes. Seasoned oak, cherry, and hickory firewood, delivered across Louisville. Available by the cord or half-cord. Best to order in late summer / early fall before winter demand peaks.
